Harbert Lumber is proud to service the products we sell. Our staff is factory trained and NFI certified in all fuel categories (Gas, Wood & Pellet). We provide service from annual cleaning and maintenance to full service repair. At this time we are not offering chimney sweep services.
Gas, Wood and Pellet stoves and fireplaces should be maintained at least on an annual basis. For wood stoves we recommend having a Chimney sweep inspect the unit and discuss your usage and determine a maintenance schedule.
Gas stoves require annual maintenance. Like a car, it is less expensive to maintain your fireplace then it is to repair it later. Annual maintenance should be performed by a qualified NFI certified professional and should take anywhere from 1 – 2 hours. Our standard Annual Service fee is $85.00 plus any repairs that need to be made.
Pellet stoves need to be maintained on a regular basis. This is usually done by the homeowner. Assuming you are maintaining your stove properly an annual service on your pellet stove should suffice.
These are just some general guidelines. As we cannot offer specific advice on specific units without inspecting them we recommend you consult your owner’s manual or an NFI Certified technician.
