Fireplaces should be a source of additional profits for builders, not frustrations! At Harbert Lumber we can work with our builders to create a custom fireplace program. The program consists of the base or “Included” model along with several “Upgrades” that all fit in the same size framing –of course at the builders option it could include larger fireplaces which would require new framing.
Instead of offering a fireplace allowance, the builder simply states that the home includes “Fireplace A”

The program is customized to the fireplaces you want to offer and the prices you want to charge. The prices include basic installation and pipe. The program includes color brochures and highlights the features of each unit. The homeowner is encouraged to come to the showroom where a trained salesperson can go through the options. We can either collect the upcharge or apply it to your account or you can deal with the customer directly.
A profitable builder fireplace program is about more than just the fireplace. Harbert Lumber will install the fireplace and return to the job at no additional cost and perform the “fire up.” Harbert Lumber provides all warranty work. This means the builder is off the hook for expensive call backs!
Not only do we provide warranty service, but we stock most of the parts that would be needed for warranty service. This means in the rare case you have a problem with a unit out of the box, our fireplace is not going to hold up your closing!
